Ray Catena Lexus of Monmouth

The Challenge:

Design and construct a state of the art vehicle maintenance facility expansion without disrupting daily, high volume business operations for the sales showroom at Lexus of Monmouth.

The Result:

Delivered a custom, design-build approach to realize the client’s vision for a luxurious automotive service experience as an on-site addition to the existing showroom, adding second floor space for storage and future maintenance expansion.

Mapped out a highly precise construction project approach to coordinate the workflow in micro-phases around high volume dealership activities. The project allowed the client to centralize both sales and service which were previously located on separate properties.

Managed more than 30 subcontractors and vendors. Created a detailed project plan to reduce potential loss of utilities during a switchover, minimizing the impact to 90 seconds from a previously estimated three weeks.

Utilized tilt-up construction with a specialty contractor capable of lifting the walls from within the pad, allowing crews to maneuver within narrow spaces inside property lines.</P

The end result is a sleek visual and physical upgrade of the whole property, including a new façade, an energy efficient thermal envelope, and improved site circulation.
